U16 Girls Jr. Blues Take On Exeter Chiefs Academy

(WHITBY, ON) - After 5 excellent days of training and scrimmaging at Hartpury University, the Ontario U16 Girls Rugby team will travel to IvyBridge RFC for their second fixture against Exeter College (Exeter Chiefs Development Academy). This will be the second time Ontario has played Exeter in the last 4 months as Exeter toured Ontario this past summer.

"Exeter College had two outstanding games against the Ontario U18 Regional Teams (Central and West) in July." stated High Performance Manager Paul Connelly. " It was during these fixtures that this return match was discussed. If we want to maintain our place as one of the top women's programs in the world, we need to provide our top athletes with elite competition. Training and competing against Hartpury College, Exeter College (Chiefs Academy) and SGS Filton (Bristol Bears Academy) allows our athletes to see what a true professional environment looks like...motivation for when they return home."

The Ontario Blues program is the high performance representative program for male and female rugby players in Ontario. Rugby Ontario is represented at the provincial level by the Ontario Blues. The program includes representative teams from Under-15 to Senior in both Women’s and Men’s Fifteens and Under-18 Men's and Women's Sevens. Specifically, the program is designed to develop and showcase rugby players for Canadian representative national teams.
