Ontario Jr. Blues Announce 7s Rosters for Las Vegas and Victoria

(WHITBY,ON)- Rugby Ontario’s High Performance Program have announced their 7s rosters for the Las Vegas 7s Tournament. The Boys program will head to Las Vegas to participate in the tournament from February 27th to March 3rd.

“The concept this year for the RO7s program was simple, get our athletes as many touches as possible” said Rugby Ontario 7s program lead Khalil Ajram. “All players have attended 3 regional sessions and 2 team sessions in preparation for these events” notes Ajram. The team that will travel to the desert is unique for the Rugby Ontario Program. “In the 3 years I've been with the program this will be our youngest group, by far” said Nigel D’Arce, Head Coach of the Boys program. Despite this, we do have experience with almost every athlete having played 10 or more tournaments. This is a testament to the increase in elite tournament opportunities that are arising in Ontario" stated D’Arce.

ABOUT THE ONTARIO BLUES

The Ontario Blues program is the high performance representative program for male and female rugby players in Ontario. Rugby Ontario is represented at the provincial level by the Ontario Blues. The program includes representative teams from Under-15 to Senior in both Women’s and Men’s Fifteens and Under-18 Men's and Women's Sevens. Specifically, the program is designed to develop and showcase rugby players for Canadian representative national teams.
