HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA (July 31, 2018) –Canada Under-20 Women’s head coach Jack Hanratty has named his 26-player team for next month’s Tri-Nations Cup in Nova Scotia.

“It was great to be able to attend the Canadian Rugby Championships in Saskatoon to watch what was a greatly competitive five team tournament. There was some tremendous talent on show and the heads of the U20 and senior women’s staff were certainly turned,” said Hanratty.
“We have plenty of excellent talent at this age group, not only at CRC but also USports and Sevens. Some extremely talented players didn’t make our final squad, and having this amount of depth is only a positive for the future of Canadian rugby,” he added.
Held at Acadia University and the Wanderers Ground in downtown Halifax, the Tri-Nations Cup will see U20 sides from USA, England and Canada face off over four game-days over a 12-day period in August.
“The challenge ahead is huge facing USA and England, but we will have over two weeks together in a fantastic environment of Acadia University. To be the best we must be challenged by the best countries in the world and that’s what lies ahead for us in our Tri-Nations series.“
