Canadian Rugby Championship Day 6 Recap

(Saskatoon SK) - Two games were played by Ontario teams yesterday in Saskatoon at the 2018 Canadian Rugby Championship. The Senior Women played their third match of the tournament against the British Columbia Bears, while the Under 20 Women finished off their CRC campaign with their final match to decide first place in the tournament against the Prairie Wolfpack.

The Senior Women came out strong early in their match, looking to get their first win of the tournament. It was a close contest between the two rivals, but Ontario was able to pull by to win the match 14-12. Blues tries came from Laura Russell and Sara Svoboda, while Irene Patrinos converted both tries.

The Under 20 Women were in tough against a strong Prairie Wolfpack side. The Wolfpack scored three tries, while Ontario was only able to muster one from Taylour Hurd. The Blues ultimately fell to the Prairie side and lost their final match of the tournament by a score of 17-5.

Sunday is the final day of the tournament with the Senior Women finishing off their campaign against the Nova Scotia Keltics at 4pm ET. The Under 19 Men go for gold against the Atlantic Rock at 2pm ET. Go Blues!
