Ontario Blues U20 Women name roster as they prepare for the U20 Canadian Rugby Championship in Saskatoon
(WHITBY, ON) – The Ontario Blues U20 Women’s team has named their roster ahead of the July Canadian Rugby Championship season. Head Coach Chris McKee named the travelling squad on Thursday and is excited about the Under-20 team’s return to the Canadian Rugby Championship.
In 2018, the Under-20 Blues will be travelling to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to play in the Under-20 Canadian Rugby Championship from July 16-22. Over the week, the Blues will match up against the British Columbia Bears, Team Quebec, Nova Scotia Keltics and Prairie Wolfpack. Streaming details have yet to be announced.
The Under-20 team competed in an Eastern Canadian Championship in 2017, in lieu of a National Championship. Competing against Nova Scotia and Quebec teams, the Blues finished second place in the regional tournament.
In total, there are six returnees from the 2017 Under-20 roster and four graduates from the Ontario Jr. Blues Under-18 Women’s program. 16 Rugby Ontario clubs are represented on the full Under-20 roster.
