Rugby Ontario welcomes David Bushell as new Coach and Match Official Coordinator

(WHITBY, ON) - Please join us in welcoming David Bushell to his newly appointed role of Coach and Match Official Coordinator at Rugby Ontario.

David joined the organization in January of 2018 as a Rugby Development Intern, where he administered multiple projects including the membership rental process, development of the Rugby Ontario Communications database and the 2018 Growing the Game Workshops.

Bushell now steps into a full-time position within development, supporting Coach and Match Official Development Manager Nicole Kovacs in the development of coaches and match officials in Ontario. This includes recruitment, retention and clinic administration.

"I'm very excited to be joining this great team in a full-time role," explained Bushell. "Interning at Rugby Ontario has been a fantastic learning experience and I look forward to helping in the advancement of our wonderful game."

David completed a B.A. in Honours Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University, before attending Durham College for a Sport Business Management post-graduate certificate. He has more than six years of customer service experience in a variety of industries. David is an avid soccer player, but he played rugby throughout high school and continues to be a fan of the game.
