
Growing the Game Workshops announced ahead of the 2018 season
Rugby Ontario's Development team has officially announced the schedule of 2018 Growing the Game Workshops.
Following on the success of the program in previous years, this two-hour workshop will be conducted in various locations across the Province. Aimed at getting clubs together to share ideas on best practices, seven workshops have been organized across Ontario. The details are:
Sarnia - Wednesday, March 28 - 7-9 PM - Sarnia Saints ClubhouseBrantford - Thursday, March 29 - 7-9 PM - Duke on Park (505 Park Rd N)Mississauga - Thursday, April 10 - 7-9 PM - Streetsville Secondary SchoolWhitby - Wednesday, April 11 - 7-9 PM - Abilities Centre Main BoardroomGuelph - Tuesday, April 17 - 7-9 PM - The Albion HotelOttawa - Thursday, April 19 - 7-9 PM - Algonquin College Room P311- Toronto - Wednesday, May 2 - 7-9 PM - Canadian Tire Head Office (2200 Yonge St.)
The topics for discussion at each of the workshop include:
- Risk Management – How do clubs best go about ensuring they provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all their players, coaches and volunteers.
- Rugby Canada Age Variations – The practicalities of coaching and refereeing at the U11 and U13 age groups.
Rugby Ontario welcome and encourage all club members to attend whichever of these workshops best suits their schedule.
