100+ teams playing in Rugby Ontario Minor Festival this Saturday

Rugby Ontario's 2017 Minor Festival kicks off this Saturday!

(TORONTO, ON) – Rugby Ontario’s Minor Festival Day is set to kick off this Saturday, August 26 at Fletcher’s Fields in Markham, Ontario. The festival includes Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12 divisions.

The festival will take place from 9am until 6pm. This year’s festival includes around 107 teams and over 1000 boys and girls. The Rugby Ontario Minor Festival continues to be an end of the year highlight in the minor festival season.

Time slots for each division are broken down as follows:

9am-12pm: Under-8

12pm-3pm: Under-10

3pm-6:30pm: Under-12

The rugby community is encouraged to come out to Fletcher’s Fields this Saturday to enjoy an exciting and enjoyable day of rugby competition. The facility includes a snack bar and washroom facilities.

Parking is FREE for the day.

Rugby Ontario would also like to thank their partners who will be participating as part of the event throughout the day. The partners who will be participating include Dairy Farmers of Canada, Gilbert Rugby Canada, Sportside Medical (Athletic Therapists), Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Concussion Centre, Tap’d In (York Region) and King Kone Ice Cream.

Rugby Ontario would also like to recognize the City of Markham as a proud supporter of this event, through their Celebrate Markham grant program.
