(TRURO, NS) - The Ontario Blues program kicks off their Canadian Rugby Championship (CRC) season on July 17 when the Under 19 men and the Senior Women head to Truro, Nova Scotia for this year's CRCs. Both sides are looking to avenge second place finishes at last year's tournament in Markham.

Ontario Blues Sr. Women
The format of the Senior Women's tournament is a round-robin style, with the winner crowned based on points. The Blues will battle it out for Canadian Women's rugby supremacy with Nova Scotia, Quebec, British Columbia and the Prairie Wolf Pack. A highlight on the Blues' schedule is when they face Quebec on Wednesday July 19. Quebec won the Canadian Rugby Championships last year and will definitely be a force to be reckoned with in this year's edition of the tournament.

Ontario U19 Blues (Men)
The format of the Under-19 tournament will include a semi-final round, as well as a bronze and gold medal match. The U19s will be vying for top spot against the Voyageurs, Alberta Wolf Pack, Prairie Blizzard, British Columbia Bears and Atlantic Rock. This year's tournament marks the inaugural year of the Prairie Blizzard program - a combined force of Saskatchewan and Manitoba athletes - which is a prime example of the growth of high performance rugby athletes across the country. Last year, the British Columbia Bears took home gold in Markham. The Blues do not meet BC in the round-robin, as they are in separate divisions, but could be a possible match-up in semi-final or final action.
