(OSHAWA, ON) – The Durham region was host to the 2017 Ontario Federation of School Athletics Association (OFSAA) Girls’ Rugby Championships from Monday, May 29 to May 31. Top high schools from across the province were represented in both the A/AA and AAA division. Many of the athletes playing also play club and/or Provincial rugby with Rugby Ontario.

Mother nature did not cooperate on either day, but in typically rugby fashion, teams played through the rainy, muddy and slippery conditions. Competition was fierce between Ontario’s powerhouse high schools and spectators were treated to first-class rugby in both divisions.

Rugby Ontario would like to congratulate all the participants who made it to the OFSAA Championships and those who won medals at the tournament.
