Forty-one players are attending the final U18 men's camp at Shawnigan Lake, BC, Feb. 1-5, 2017, all of whom are vying for selection to the 26-man team that will represent Canada at the Rugby Europe U18 Open Championships 2017 in France in April.

“We are very excited to bring this group together for our national camp after successful east and west regional camps this fall,” said Canada’s U18 Men’s head coach Mike Curran. “We have representation from every province and all are eager to prove themselves worthy of wearing our nation’s jersey.”

Canada will face off against Georgia in their tournament opener on April 7 and their result from that game will determine their opposition for their final two games on April 11 and 15.

In 2016, Canada’s U18 program faced off against Connacht, Leinster and Munster last April losing all three games by just a combined 14 points while showing strong defensive abilities and a swift attack.
